Abdul
Abdul is a native Uighur with over 15 years of work experience in the tourism industry. A real spirit of adventure inspires his approach. He has led numerous groups to K2 base camp and treks across the Taklamakan Desert. Extremely knowledgeable in Central Asia’s Islamic history and the presence of Buddhism in Uighur culture, Abdul is capable of answering your religious and historical questions about Xinjiang.
Clients enjoy Abdul’s sense of humor and intimate knowledge of Xinjiang. He initially worked in customer relations at a prominent 4-star hotel before he became a professional tour guide in 1998. Born and raised in Kashgar, Abdul graduated from Xinjiang University with a degree in Uighur Literature.

Andy
Andy is a native of Beijing. Andy loves the human aspect of his job, and his friendly nature has turned many a client into a friend. Andy can often be seen chatting with new friends in a Houhai lakeside bar at the end of a tour. Recognizing that many visitors only visit China once in their lifetime, Andy does his best to make each experience memorable.
The son of local coalminers, Andy initially worked as a machinist in a local factory. Without a formal college education, he taught himself English by listening to the radio and reading. Today his spoken English is uniquely fluent.

Billy
Billy has worked as a WildChina guide for more than eight years, guiding many of our VIP clients throughout Guizhou. He has handled a variety of programs, which include organizing special dinner parties in local villages and securing exclusive seats for clients at a traditional opera. An avid outdoorsman, Billy is very fond of trekking, hiking and general exploration and discovery.
Born and raised in Guizhou province, Billy is a graduate of Sichuan University with a degree in English. He specializes in the Miao minorities and is sure to show you Guizhou’s ethnic cultures when you visit. He also loves sharing various Chinese folk tales. Brenda
Brenda is one of WildChina’s most experienced guides. She is one of the distinguished guides who first welcomed tourists when China opened to tourism in the early 1980s. Over the last 25 years, her diverse client-base has included many famous and distinguished guests, such as journalist Katie Couric and award-winning filmmaker Katherine Kennedy. Brenda enjoys sharing her hometown with visitors.
Brenda began her career with China International Travel Service (CITS) Beijing and worked there until 1998. She worked for three other tour operators, including as a resident expert for Viking River Cruises, before joining WildChina. Brenda earned a degree in English from the Beijing College of Tourism in 1983.
