WHAT WE DO
At WildChina, we believe travel and learning go hand in hand. We work directly with institutions that feel the same to custom design and deliver innovative experiential travel programs for groups of all ages and learning objectives.
Our local knowledge and networks help open doors to otherwise inaccessible insider opportunities, creating interactive and empowering experiences that are life changing for both our clients and the communities we visit.
We pride ourselves in traveling sustainably and providing the highest level of service and safety at all times. Our team of education specialists is dedicated to ensuring that every client experiences the WildChina difference:
Careful planning of resources used ensures minimization of the environmental footprint of travel. Close engagement with local communities and businesses helps minimize impact on local culture and supports positive development for local people.
We complete comprehensive risk assessments for every destination and activity and tailor our risk management plans to match clients’ individual standards and policies. All of our tour leaders are equipped with first-aid certifications and are on-call 24 hours a day. We have a solid network of local resources across all our destinations that can provide support for any eventuality, no matter how unlikely.
We carefully design programs to fit individual client needs like a well-tailored qipao. Through close consultation we ensure all programs satisfy learning objectives, calendar and budget. We never do cookie cutter - we’re a team of specialists, each consultant with their own area of expertise from junior-high school field trips and MBA placements, to alumni gatherings and executive teambuilding events.

OUR LEARNER-CENTERED APPROACH
We put individuals at the heart of their learning experience. From scavenger hunts in the Forbidden City, to bargaining for the ingredients of dinner at a local market, our activities have a hands-on approach that allows participants to control their own pace of learning, building skills and practices to enable life-long learning.
Our learner-centered programs offer a combination of the following experiences:
Whether it’s experiencing the age-old customs of a village festival or exploring Beijing’s historic center, our immersive programs put students at the heart of the action.
We empower participants to make a positive social impact. From recycling projects to rural school literacy initiatives, we work with local community leaders to provide meaningful support.
Participants can experience their classroom without walls through project-based learning. Our inspiring experiential activities build upon your academic curricula and deliver your learning objectives.
From trekking to bicycle touring, kayaking to orienteering, our outward-bound trips veer away from China’s well-worn tourist routes to challenge body and mind.
Face-to-face encounters with local people, student peers and native teachers makes WildChina’s immersion courses the most effective way to fast-track Chinese language learning.
Integral to all WildChina’s education programs, we develop interactive challenges, projects and games with a China focus to help students inspire each other and grow together.
