As a seasoned travel guide with over fifteen years of experience, Billy has led groups to the most pristine nooks and crannies of southern China. Born and raised in Guilin, he has used the city as a launching pad to branch out and explore its beautiful surrounding regions. Specializing in hiking and photography tours of the famous Huangshan (Mt. Effie graduated from the Guilin Institute of Tourism with degrees in English and Tourism. She was born of Zhuang ethnic minority descent and is an extremely bright, enthusiastic, and talented guide committed to providing her clients with the most fulfilling experience possible. In six plus years of leading groups, she has masterfully handled many challenging situations due to her ability to understand interpersonal dynamics. In addition to the standard tours covering Guilin's obvious attractions such as the Li River and its karst mountain formations, Effie has also organized ad-hoc family visits to local villages, exposing her clients to the basic life she experienced as a child growing up. Freeman Pan
A member of China・s Zhuang ethnic minority, Freeman was born in the city of Yangshuo and has been surrounded by some of China・s most fantastic scenic landscapes his entire life. He attended the Guilin Institute of Tourism from ・98-・02 where he obtained a degree English and Tourism. Since acquiring his guiding license, Freeman has specialized in the general Guilin area including cities such as Guilin, Yangshuo, and Longshen. He enjoys taking clients to small tucked away villages and has even taken some to his very own Zhuang village, where he is able to educate them about life in the more rural parts of China. Freeman is passionate about showing clients the life of Chinese minorities and enjoys educating them on China・s subtler side. Clients love his commitment and people-pleasing mentality. Huang
Huang Huaihai was born in a Zhuang family in Southeastern Yunnan, although after living in Lijiang for seven years he now considers himself part Naxi. With almost a decade's worth of experience, Huang has coordinated and led groups through numerous regions of China, ranging from the ancient town of Lijiang to the wild and untamed region of Tibet. Huang is our go-to guide for the Yunnan areas of Dali and Zhongdian. A graduate of Lanzhou University with a degree in Zoology, Huang is a perfect match for all sorts of adventure trips. He also speaks excellent English, coming in 2nd place in a Yunnan English-speaking Guides Contest. Huang has done considerable work with global exchange programs where he has facilitated meetings between foreign visitors and local NGOs. Joyce
Joyce has been showing overseas visitors around Shanghai for the past 6 years. A third generation Shanghainese, she has grown up listening to her family's stories of Shanghai's recent history, including the nationalist years, World War II and the Japanese occupation, the communist liberation, and the Cultural Revolution. She is proud that Shanghai has returned to renown as a vision epicenter in the twenty-first century. She sees Shanghai as a city where China meets the world, and where Chinese their nation's future possibilities. Joyce loves how this booming city has a tendency to take people from all over China and even overseas, and convert them into devoted Shanghainese. She is an exponent of the local food, and loves introducing the delights of Shanghai cuisine to her guests. Joyce's most memorable trip was a 17-day tour of China with the legendary "Flying Tigers", a WWII volunteer squadron that defended China with the highest success rate of any air group during the war. She loves seeing her guests enjoy of the local food, and their amazement at the history and development of her hometown.

A native of Lijiang, Julia has a native understanding of Yunnan Province's innate richness and natural beauty. Born in 1979, Julia graduated from Yunnan Normal University with a degree in English. Immediately upon graduation, she started working as a tour guide and has not looked back since. Julia is of Naxi nationality, an ethnic minority in China, and in addition to her native tongue, is fluent in English and Mandarin. Always outgoing, enthusiastic, and creative, there is rarely a client Julia does not connect with. She specializes in conducting tours in and around Yunnan Province, including the cities of Lijiang, Dali, Zhongdian, and Kunming. Having lived and work in the region her whole life, Julia provides her group members with detailed information only a local would know. Julia enjoys conversing with her group members and oftentimes develops very strong interpersonal bonds. A graduate of the Xi'an Foreign Language University, Louisa began her career as a teacher. Devoted to her native city, Louisa is proud of Xi'an's rich history and culture, and loves sharing her extensive knowledge with clients. Mohammed
Mohammed, born in the dynamic city of Kashgar, graduated from Xinjiang University with a degree in Uyghur Literature. Fluent in three languages, Mohammed loves to converse with his clients about the culture, history, and religion of his native province. Due to his extensive experience in the Xinjiang area, Mohammed knows the best local spots and enjoys taking his groups to these non-touristy areas where group members can get a first-hand view into daily Xinjiang life. Village visits and homestays in particular are a specialty of Mohammed's, who when not touring also enjoys various outdoor activities such as swimming, basketball, and football. Shiau
Shiau graduated from Guizhou Normal University with a degree in English. Beginning work as a tour guide in 1997, Shiau has nearly a decade's worth of experience leading teams of travelers. Almost immediately after starting work as a tour guide, Shiau quickly joined the ranks of China's top guides. From 1999 until 2005 Shiau was named the best tour guide of Guizhou, and in 2006 was nominated for best tour guide in China. He is extremely familiar with the Guiyang and Kaili areas, famous for the unique ethnic minorities that inhabit the region, and he is considered by many to be an expert in the various ethnic textiles and costumes of the region. Sonam
Born in Lhasa, the capital of the Tibetan Autonomous Region, Sonam has been leading tours for over a decade. After completing high school in 1991, he decided to go abroad for college and landed in India, where he studied Medical Science. In 1995, Sonam graduated from his college in India and decided to become a full-time tour guide, where he now specializes in religion and Tibetan medicine. Since entering the industry, Sonam has traveled extensively throughout Tibet, learning more about his home province than he ever imagined. He especially loves personal interaction with clients, and the fulfilling feeling of knowing his group is completely satisfied with their experience. In addition to leading tours all over Tibet, he has also involved himself with an NGO in Lhasa called Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). MSF is an independent international medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people in more than 70 countries. Stewart
A native of Guangxi, Stewart started his adult life as a farmer upon graduating from high school in the 70's. Stewart's early life was colorful - in addition to farming, he was also his village's designated storyteller and official cook. After the Cultural Revolution, Stewart was one of the first group of students to re-enter a university where he studied English - and was the oldest student in his class. An avid and passionate traveler, his experiences in the countryside have exposed him to the different ways of life of the local people, and hence, his ability to design some of Guangxi's best off the beaten path programs. He is best known in photography circles for his ability to identify Guangxi scenic spots for ideal photo opportunities, and is widely considered by most European photography associations to be the go-to guide for the area.

Tsebho
Having spent most of the last decade in the travel industry, Tsebho brings an abundant amount of information and experience to the table when leading travel groups. Born and raised in Eastern Tibet, Tsebho learned to read and write from a nomad mobile-school. He later attended Mt. Royal University in Chengdu, where he obtained his B.A. in English Literature and Business Management. Tsebho offers clients a peek into Tibetan culture and the unique opportunity to learn about this pristine and isolated region of China. In addition to being fluent in all 3 major Tibetan dialects, he is also fluent in English, can hold his own in Mandarin and Hindi, and can even speak a little German. Born in Tibet, Tseping has been surrounded by the natural beauty of this breathtaking region his entire life. Tseping attended the University of Tibet, where he graduated in 1995 with a degree in English. With over ten years of tour-leading experience, Tsering is one of our top Tibetan guides. A lifelong keen interest in religion and everything it entails prompted him to study abroad in Varanasi, the religious capital of India. In Varanasi, Tsering graduated with a degree in Tibetan history and religion. Along with his newfound expertise in Tibetan Buddhism, Tsering became fluent in Hindi. He is also fluent in Tibetan, English, and Mandarin. Combined with his college degree, his decade・s worth of guiding experience in the Tibetan region means that his knowledge of local history and religion is unparalleled. Also an accomplished hiker and avid outdoorsman, he is experienced in leading trekking groups to many exotic destinations, including the dauntingly icy northern face of Mt. Everest. In addition to leading hiking expeditions up in around the valleys of Mt. Everest, Tsering also leads groups into the Khangshung Valley, which he lists as his most beautiful place he・s ever visited.
