About This Trip

Refresh yourself with a trip to Taiwan, a peaceful Pacific oasis home to lush, verdant mountains, steaming hot springs and tranquil, sandy beaches. The Portuguese aptly named it "Ilha Formosa" or "Beautiful Island" when they caught sight of it in the 16th century. Taiwan is one of the four Asian Tigers and has a distinct culture which is a mix of aboriginal and traditional Chinese with strong Japanese influence. This trip is the perfect opportunity to get to know Taiwan by starting in the glittering capital of Taipei before traveling up and down the island's coast, stopping to experience the best this island has to offer.
